Our Future: The Schumacher Property

Our vision for the future expansion of St. John's ministry within the Sebring Community

2016

The St. John Long Term Planning Committee came to the conclusion that further expansion of St. John's current property would be nearly impossible. In order to grow and expand our service to the Sebring community, we needed more space. Therefore, the search began for a potential site for a new church campus.

2019

In October of 2019, St. John's longtime prayers had been answered: the Schumacher Property, just a short distance away from our current location, came onto the market. After only 4 days, St. John's offer was accepted and the plan to purchase was ratified by District Leadership and Church leadership in record time. The church vote was unanimous: the Schumacher property was to be St. John's future home.

2022

In the Spring of 2022 St. John officially launched the "Journey to Generosity" Stewardship Campaign. After a successful launch, St. John looked toward the future with optimism and hope as we pledged to raise $1,000,000 for the new church.

2024

After land surveys, animal relocations, architecture redesigns, and countless meetings, the next phase of developing the Schumacher property are underway.
